Hydro-demolition.

Whether facilitating repairs, accommodating new construction, modifying existing assets or supporting end-of-life decommissioning, controlled concrete removal requires precision and planning. Direct Inject combines robotic hydro-demolition, ultra-high-pressure water jetting and specialist cutting techniques to remove concrete safely while protecting surrounding structures and maintaining operational continuity wherever possible.

Non-Structural Hydro-Demolition.

For non-structural applications, Direct Inject uses hydro-demolition to selectively remove concrete to defined depths, profiles and boundaries while preserving existing reinforcement and minimising vibration and damage to the retained structure. Works are completed using hand lances, track-mounted robots and rail-guided robotic systems, with equipment and methodology selected to suit the removal volume, geometry, access constraints and requirements of each application.

Services

Controlled & Targeted Concrete Removal – Selective removal of defective or nominated concrete while preserving reinforcement and surrounding sound concrete. Applications include steel augmentation, new connections, stitch pours and removal of non-compliant concrete prior to rebuilding.
Circular Pile Trimming – Robotic removal of excess concrete from piles to expose reinforcement for pile cap connections. Our Aquajet 750 circular system accommodates pile diameters from approximately 900–1,500 mm and can operate at heights up to 6 m.
Diaphragm Wall Trimming – Controlled removal of excess concrete from diaphragm walls to nominated lines, levels and profiles. Works can be completed using hand lances, track-mounted robots or rail-guided systems to suit access, geometry and removal requirements.
Water Treatment & Recycling – Mobile treatment systems capable of processing 20–80 m³/hr, neutralising pH with CO₂ and removing TSS down to 1 micron. Treated water can be returned to the hydro-demolition process, reducing water demand and off-site disposal

Structural Hydro-demolition.

Direct Inject provides specialist hydro-demolition equipment, operators and technical capability for the controlled removal of structural concrete as part of major infrastructure upgrades, modifications and asset decommissioning. Where works involve the demolition or removal of load-bearing structural elements, we work alongside trusted and appropriately licensed demolition contractors to provide an integrated delivery solution. Hydro-demolition allows concrete to be selectively removed while preserving nominated reinforcement and adjacent structural elements where required by the demolition design and methodology.

Services

Structural Removal & Modification – Controlled removal of structural concrete to support major modifications or asset expansion. Robotic and rail-guided systems enable selective removal while preserving nominated reinforcement and adjacent structural elements.
Asset Decommissioning – Selective hydro-demolition during the dismantling or decommissioning of reinforced concrete infrastructure. Applications include reinforcement exposure, concrete removal and separation of structural elements ahead of subsequent demolition works.
Licensed Demolition Partnerships – Structural hydro-demolition is delivered with appropriately licensed demolition contractors where required. Direct Inject provides the specialist equipment, operators and hydro-demolition expertise within the engineered demolition methodology.

Concrete Cutting &
Coring Services.

Our concrete cutting and coring services complement our hydro-demolition capability, providing controlled methods for creating openings, penetrations and defined removal boundaries within reinforced concrete structures. From conventional diamond road sawing and coring through to remotely operated cutting using our Brokk 200, we can select and combine methods to suit the structure, access constraints and wider remediation or modification scope.

Concrete Cutting and Coring Services.

Direct Inject provides precision concrete cutting and diamond coring for the controlled creation of penetrations, openings and saw cuts within reinforced concrete structures. Using road saws and diamond coring equipment, works can be completed to defined dimensions and depths to support new construction, service installations, structural modifications and upgrades to existing assets.

Services

Concrete Saw Cutting – Precision cutting of reinforced concrete slabs, pavements and other horizontal surfaces using diamond road saws. For more complex or restricted applications, our Brokk 200 can be equipped with a Kemroc saw attachment, providing remotely operated cutting of reinforced concrete while reducing direct operator exposure. Typical applications include forming openings, creating defined boundaries for concrete removal, cutting construction and movement joints, and preparing structures for modification or subsequent hydro-demolition.
Diamond Coring – Controlled diamond drilling of circular penetrations through reinforced concrete to nominated diameters and depths. Typical applications include penetrations for pipework, electrical and mechanical services, drainage, fixings and structural connections, as well as investigative coring and access for subsequent injection, remediation or modification works.
