Project details.

Background

The Mulgoa Road Upgrade is a significant infrastructure project aimed at easing congestion and improving safety along one of Western Sydney’s busiest road corridors. The section currently under construction by Seymour Whyte focuses on expanding the roadway to three lanes in each direction, enhancing key intersections, and upgrading pedestrian and cyclist routes. This stage forms part of a broader effort to future-proof the region’s transport network and support the area’s continued growth

Scope of Work

Direct Inject was engaged to carry out a range of specialist remediation and injection works as part of the Mulgoa Road Upgrade. Our scope included concrete surface repairs and crack injection on existing culverts to restore structural integrity and prevent water ingress. We also completed contact grouting of newly installed culverts to ensure proper bedding and load transfer, as well as pressure grouting to fill significant voids left behind from a previous backfilling operation associated with the decommissioning of a cut-and-cover structure. These works were critical to stabilising key drainage assets and supporting the long-term durability of the infrastructure

Site Conditions

Works were completed adjacent to busy live traffic corridors and during planned road closures at night.

Solution.
