The Central Station Upgrade was a major infrastructure project delivered by Laing O’Rourke as part of Sydney’s transport modernization program, focused on transforming Central into a modern, high-capacity interchange. Key works included the construction of the new underground Central Walk concourse, upgrades to existing platforms, the installation of new lifts, escalators, and entrances, and enabling works for the Sydney Metro City & Southwest line.

Direct Inject was engaged to perform structural crack repair works within the live Central Walk concourse while it remained fully operational and open to the public. Working within strict access, safety, and time constraints, our team delivered precision crack injection and remediation services during night shifts and designated low-traffic periods, ensuring minimal disruption to commuters and maintaining the highest safety standards in a highly sensitive, high-traffic environment
